a little help

I'm diving back in, getting back in the saddle, getting back in the race. Whatever phrase you prefer. And although it would be perhaps better if I were talking about training for the triathlon that is now a mere 3 days away, it is not.

Training is about the furthest thing from my mind, lately. (Although I have been, so I don't die Sunday.)

Of course, its boys. Guys. Men.

After meeting several nice guys through various friends lately. And after those nice guys proceeded to ask out other friends. I decided that I again need to expand my circle of potential prospects.

Yes, I'm putting another profile up. The weird thing is, I'm having a hard time making it sound good. I'm not in the right mood lately to boast about myself. My outlook has much improved in the last few days, but I can't seem to write well. I'm blaming it on the lack of sleep.

And so, I turn to you, my readers, for help.

[Opening possible can of worms.]

If you were to describe me to some guy you were going to set me up with, what would you say?

Warm, sweet, funny, athletic, dog-lover who enjoys family, live music, and the great outdoors. Terrific friend. Thoughtful and insightful, capable of offering great advice, or refraining from offering advice, depending on the situation. Loyal, devoted, smart, and compassionate. Sexy as hell. Genuine, articulate, self-aware, and sane!

That should get you started!

Ahh, Kurt, I'm blushing. But that is a great start!

A dog, music, friend, athletic guy who thinks of the outdoors as a second home. Someone who is equally happy staying in as he is going out. Someone who will listen and offer advice, if needed. Also, someone who surrounds himself by great people is a must! (besides it tells you what type of person that guy is)

How's that?

Hey - all those descriptions sound like the kind of guy I'd like to meet too. If you happen to get a response from someone who's 10 years older than you and lives out east, will you send him my way?

I think you'll write a great profile, Ramblin', I think you'd make an awesome catch. "Between great adventures with friends, to long walks with the dog, to camping under the stars, I'm not sure which I love most." You'll do just fine.

Artistic, fun, loyal friend, determined athlete, devoted family member, nature lover, caretaker of animals- with an amazing mind, an all around good personality and her head on straight. Down to earth wonderful girl that doesn't need to advertise.

I can't believe that you even have to put yourself out there. You should be surrounded by prospects beating your door down. If only they knew!

I deleted my last comment because it had a typo. I am a dork.

Sorry, I don't know you well enough to contribute otherwise. But it sounds like you are a great person to know and would be an awesome catch for any man.

Where'd you leave your profile?

Have you ever tried eHarmony?

I think it's the best "dating" site out there, from personal experience, because it cuts through all of the crap that other sites do or (don't do).
